Men have been trying to make their penises bigger for as long there has been a penis. One of the most ancient methods is jelqing, which allegedly dates back thousands of years in middle eastern culture and involves stretching out one’s member with various techniques such as squeezing or pulling on it.
What Will I Learn
Does Jelqing Really Work?
Jelqing is a form of penile massage.
Men typically do the massage themselves.
They do so because jelqing is allegedly a good way to increase the length and girth of the penis. Some men claim it improves erection quality as well.
In theory, jelqing works by improving blood flow to the penis and physically stretching the tissue inside.
There’s no scientific evidence to prove it’s an effective technique but plenty of jelqers claim to have a bigger penis on their hands.
What Is Jelqing and What Does It Do?
Jelqing is a type of massage that aims to stretch the penis and increase its mass.
The theory behind it is similar to that of bodybuilding.
When people pick up weights and exercise their muscles, the activity causes micro-tears within the muscle fiber.
Then, when the muscles are not being trained, the body repairs the damage to the muscles and overcompensates by making them larger and stronger.
With constant repetition, this process of damage and repair makes the muscles grow.
Jelqing forces extra blood into the penis—considerably more than it’s used to holding. This causes micro-tears in the skin that look engorged when they heal.
Needless to say, if jelqing does work, it may be quite some time before the results become evident.
NOTE: Jelqing is a penis enlargement technique that involves pulling and stretching the skin of your shaft with the aim of making it larger. Not only does jelling burn more calories than regular exercise, but many sites detail routines for this practice; some say if you do it long enough eventually (or not) results will come in terms of increased size–but there’s no scientific evidence to back up these claims! Doctors advise against doing anything traumatic or dangerous such as harnesses because they can cause blood vessel tears which could lead onto ED [erections lasting] less time/successfully retaining an erection after sex for longer periods throughout any given day.”
Benefits of Jelqing
- Increases length and girth of the penis (flaccid and erect)
- Makes it possible to stay hard for longer
- Fights erectile dysfunction
- Allows you to enjoy better sex
The Cold Hard Truth About Jelqing
The popularity of Jelqing is based on word of mouth rather than scientific evidence. There is no real proof that it works.
Most of the studies exploring the viability of penis stretching involve various types of penile traction device.
The results suggest placing the penis under traction for extended periods of time will probably make it grow.
However, the men involved in one study wore a device for nine hours a day, every day, for three months.
That’s a long time and the contraption only produced around one centimeter of growth.
Jelqing generally only requires one 20-minute session per day.
In theory, you could do it for longer but, seriously, how many hours per day do you want to devote to fiddling with yourself?
It’s also important to be aware there is also research that suggests penile traction devices may not work.
So, all things considered, jelqing appears to be a bit hit and miss.
Jelqing also doesn’t have any effect on sperm or semen quantity. There are however, other ways to increase your semen quantity.
If you devote a large enough part of your life to it, you may see some results. Don’t hold your breath though. There are no guarantees.
How to Do Jelqing
Although some men prefer not to, it’s generally best to lube up the penis before you begin.
Doing so will help protect the skin for chaffing and other types of damage.
It doesn’t matter how you lube up your penis.
Vaseline is good. So is baby oil. You could also use olive oil or a special sex lubricant such as KY Jelly.
The next thing to do is prep the penis by doing something that causes it to become partially erect.
How you do this is up to you but you need to be careful the penis does not become fully erect. If this happens, jelqing won’t be possible.
The idea is to have a little extra blood in the penis. You need to be able to move it around though.
That’s why jelqing won’t work if your penis becomes fully erect.
When your penis is in the required state, make an “OK” sign with your thumb and index finger.
Next, place your penis inside the “O”. Apply sufficient pressure and push your “O” down towards the base of the penis and tighten your grip some more near the bottom.
If you are doing it correctly, the pressure should make your penis become more firm and erect.
Pull your “O” upwards towards the top of the penis. If it feels painful, you may be gripping too hard and will need to reduce the pressure.
As you slide your hand up, you are forcing the trapped blood up ahead of your fingers. This is what provides the stretching effect.
As your hand reaches the top of the penis you can release the pressure. Congratulations, you’ve just done your first jelq.
Each jelq should take around 2-3 seconds to complete. When you’ve done one, follow with another and keep repeating the exercise for 20 minutes.
You need to this every day, and it’s time-consuming, so you need to be very motivated to your cause.
Is Jelqing Dangerous – Can you Injure Yourself?
The problem with jelqing is it’s 100 percent self-taught.
Unlike cooking or woodwork, there are no tutors and you cannot attend a class.
That means you may unknowingly perform the technique in the wrong way.
If your jelqing sessions are too intense, you may seriously damage the tissue of your penis.
In severe cases this could cause erectile dysfunction, meaning your penis may be bigger but it won’t be a lot of use to you or anyone else.
Jelqing too hard can also bruise the penis and make it feel sore, inside and out.
Using lube will help protect the skin, but what happens inside the penis is all down to technique.
Does Jelqing Work – Summary
Jelqing may be a good way to make your penis bigger.
Then again it may do nothing at all.
There is no proof that it works. However, this is not an area that has captured the interest of researchers so there is no proof it does not work either.
Even if jelqing does work, it may take years to make much difference.
If several months of wearing a dick-stretching machine for nine hours per day only produced a one-centimeter increase in length, 20 minutes of jelqing is probably going to require a much longer period of time.
However, if it does work, jelqing provides a simple way or men to get a bigger penis and there will be nothing to pay for except some lube.
Other Types of Penis Enlargement
The options for penis enlargement are diverse. One option is to use a stretcher, which can be worn during the day or at night. A stretcher provides traction in order to stretch the shaft skin and tissues.
The second option is surgery, which may be costly but also has good results.
A third option is to use supplements. Male enhancement pills are natural supplements produced to improve your sexual performance, increase libido and boost male virility.
