Learning about global health policy from Kenya
The next few months will be a turning point in global health policy.

The Center for Strategic and International Studies has convened an unprecedented group of people -- including U.S. Senators, global health experts, and industry leaders -- to form a Commission on Smart Global Health.

On August 10-12, the Commission will in Kenya (Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, and Eldoret) to examine first-hand the impact of U.S. and other global investments in improving health for everyday Kenyans. And they will also witness the challenges that remain. This trip will inform the Commission's report, which will reach the highest levels of government and chart the course of global health policy for years to come.

The best part is that we have an inside look at this trip -- and a chance to ask questions about or share ideas about U.S. health aid to Kenya. Click here to learn more about the Commission's fact-finding trip:

We have an unprecedented opportunity to watch the development of U.S. global health policy in real-time. I hope you'll join me and take part in this effort.

Thanks.
