Debora L. Spar
Debora Spar was appointed President of Barnard College in January 2008. Spar was formerly Spangler Family Professor of Business Administration and Senior Associate Dean for Faculty Research and Development at Harvard Business School. Professor Spar has written four books and co-authored two. Her most recent, The Baby Business, was published in 2006 and explored the economic, political and social issues surrounding reproductive technologies. Professor Spar received her doctorate in government from Harvard University.
